Power Outage
(Se va la luz)

A historian's travel log, transformed into a series of images depicting present-day Baghdad. The social, historical and political nuances are aimed to be conceptually captured through deliberate silences, pauses between images, and shots that highlight the various facets of ancient Babylon juxtaposed with the modern-day reality of the Iraqi city, all complemented by auditory elements.
A poignant reminder of Baghdad's rich history and complex present, inviting viewers to reflect on the city's enduring resilience and the challenges it continues to face.
